Rakhigarhi (29°16' Nand 76°10' E) is situated in tehsil Narnaul, Distt.
Hisar, Haryana. The site is in the drainage basin of ancient Saraswati-Drishdwati rivers.
The mean altitude varies from 219 m to 221 m in the surrounding plains extending
over an area of 10 km radius. Over the Harappan mounds are the thicky populated
villages of the late Medieval times.
