Urban blight
A condition of decay in an area (residential or commercial) due to neglect and lack of maintenance on the part of owners for reasons like low returns from rents and unaffordable cost of repairs and upkeep.
Urban blight which is simple in form occurs:
(a) One to deterioration of the physical character
of the structures, sanitation facilities, presence of
rubbish, accumulation of garbage in the yards etc.
(b) Due to adverse environmental influences like
noise, odor, dust etc.
© Due to lacking of the community facilities like
schools, play grounds, public water supply and sewerage
system, adequate streets and drainage facilities
