Panjim, the former Capital of Portuguese colonies in India, stretches along the river Mandovi to the Arabian Sea. The hot humid climate, the abundant local colours, salubrious vegetation breathed life into an architecture rich in the unique blend of Portuguese forms with native art and craft.
