In Punjab, parallel to the political geography of the green revolution and terrorism, there is a sacred geography of the historic buildings (one thousand and five hundred buildings were listed in seven of the thirteen districts located in the midst of urban and rural settings (a survey undertaken by the 'Cultural Resource Conservation Initiative' (CRCI) of historic building along the GT road . Many of these sites bring together a rich virasat (cultural heritage) of inter-religious cooperation and exchange.
