Some considerations which relate to the creation of defined enclosed spaces in urban areas. The main emphasis is on:

1. Integrating the spaces on a site into the existing urban structure.
2. Making the spaces as interesting and comfortable as possible.
3. Achieving a relationship between the spaces and the people who live in and around them - thus creating a sense of identity.
