The highlights were the need to review the town planning parameters which control the
development process so as to stop the growth of unorganized, uncalled and substandard development. Stress was on the need to build in flexibility so as to accommodate large mass of urban poor.

The research aimed at integrating urban poor into the town planning main
stream which is a giant step towards inclusive planning.
