THERMOSTRICTIVE SMART MATERIALS
Thermostrictive smart materials have inherent properties that enable them to react to ambient temperature changes by reversibly changing their shape and/or dimensions. The temperature changes may have a passive effect by which the material continually adjusts its internal thermal state to its natural surroundings through its surface.
In the field of architecture the following thermostrictive smart materials are available :

SHAPE MEMORY ALLOYS (SMA)
