It is important to understand the scale of waste before trying to work on the recycling part, to serve at greater depths
The project is observed to become more sensitive in the real way and learn to deal with the built and the unbuilt to make this truly a non-cosmetic approach.
The Indian economy is deprived, and whatever that is being discarded is also being consumed by other groups, so this kind of center can also collect this discarded material then people find it usable for other things.
The last decade has witnessed the shift from nonrenewable resources to a renewable source of energy like solar, wind, geothermal. With the increase in population, the rate in which the consumerist trend is rising the mitigation
methods might be insufficient to satisfy the increase in demand of projected population.
This thesis identifies the issues of overconsumption, its effects and waste generation in Mega cities. You buy more, spend
more, throw away more and because you are accustomed to using more you spend even more. It's a vicious cycle, in which the current consumerist economy does not break i.e., cradle to grave. It thrives on enticing the masses with
attractive offers and lucrative market schemes which results in a catastrophic environmental impact, depletion of resources.
The idea of waste is so evident today, that it has resu lted in global warming, toxic landfills, depletion of species, etc. The environmental concern regard ing increasing carbon footprint is related to today's pre-production, production,
distribution, and consumption patterns of the society.
It is not only the inefficiency of the waste disposal system to handle this crisis alone but also the varying consumption patterns at an alarming stage that has led to a waste crisis.
Taken from : ARCHIVING ARCHITECTURAL THESIS 2020 - "Awards for Excellence in Architectural Thesis" the annual program conducted by the Council of Architecture through its academic unit Council of Architecture Training and Research Centre (COA TRC) completed its eleventh cycle in 2016.
