Residential school at Bangalore
Architect R L kumar

The project is a residential school situated in a rural area about 110 km from Bangalore city. The aim is to provide well rounded education in the native medium of instruction (Kannada language) for children of rural migrant labour and other landless/poor farmers in the neighbouring
villages. The school was started in 1972 by David Horsburgh, a pioneer in school education and curricula formulation in India. The current project is an extension of the old school for secondary education students on an independent piece of land measuring around 4-acres. It consists of an administration block, library and laboratories, residential quarters for staff etc.
