The Rajasthan Para-Medical Council (Amendment) Regulations, 2023 introduce significant changes to the regulatory framework governing paramedical education and institutions in Rajasthan. Some key amendments include:

1. Eligibility Criteria for Admission:
   • Minimum qualification for paramedical diploma courses is now 10+2 with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics) with at least 45% aggregate marks for general candidates and 40% for SC/ST/OBC/SBC candidates.
     
   • The minimum age for admission is set at 17 years by December 31 of the admission year.
     
2. Recognition of Institutions:
   • Institutions seeking recognition must comply with prescribed standards and submit online applications annually.
     
   • The recognition process involves inspections by appointed inspectors, and institutions can be granted permanent recognition after five years of compliance without complaints.
     
3. Infrastructure Requirements:
   • Specific space allocations for facilities such as classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and other amenities are mandated based on the number of students and courses offered.
     
   • Institutes are encouraged to have their own buildings for permanent recognition, although rented premises are permissible for up to five years initially.
     
4. Course Offerings by Private Universities:
   • Private universities are now eligible to conduct degree courses listed in TABLE B, provided they adopt the syllabus prescribed by the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS).
