Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant
In a platinum rated Green Building in India, a 23 kW grid connected solar PV system has been installed. The system is mounted on
the roof of the building and directed towards the south-east direction so as to have maximum sunlight. The system on an average
generates about 100 units of electricity per day. About 17 per cent of the building’s energy cost is being saved through the use of power
generated from solar PV. The total investment required was about Rs 56 lakh
