AESTHETICS IN BUILT ENVIRONMENT
The dictionary meaning of 'aesthetics' is the study of the beauty or something pertaining to beauty. When talking of beauty it is easier to describe our feelings rather than explaining why we feel so. We respond to a beautiful object with an intense, joyous and enduring interest. The tendency to describe beauty in terms of feelings suggests that beauty is an experience, a special kind of interactivity between our environment and us. This environment may be natural or man-made or a combination of the two.
