CDC Model of Domestic Waste Management: Using Appropriate Technology
To avert problems rising due to poor solid waste management, CDC has developed an innovative model for waste management. This model is not only environment friendly but also cost effective in comparison to Municipal bodies. The model was first executed in Bapu Nagar, Jaipur, with financial support from Jaipur Municipal Corporation. After this it was expanded not only to other parts of the city but also to other states of India. Model has got tremendous success at most of the places. It has got appreciation from the community, practitioners, managers and policy makers.
