Design and Architecture has now evolved to become the oasis of households, hotels and spas, with sophisticated design led products that perform to the highest standards. These highly coveted awards will focus on the complexities of building project from a design, aesthetic, sustainability and conservation perspective, as well as the local context.
The first edition of GROHE NDTV Design & Architecture Awards were hailed as one the best by the architect guild for its rigor, its discipline, credibility and the evening event itself, which was conducted impeccably.
The awards received huge appreciation by the fraternity, with over 900 entries being submitted by India's most talented architects and firms. At a sterling gathering, held in New Delhi earlier this year, the winners were facilitated by leading artists, architects and renowned personalities.
This year too, the awards will take a collective view of the jury and recognize architectural excellence and innovation that our country has to offer.
Participation Guidelines:
· Please log-in at www.ndtv.com/daawards & download the Nomination form. The same is also attached in this e-mail for your ready reference
· Participation in the Awards is permitted only via online mode.
· Participants can nominate multiple projects within a particular Award Category, and a particular project within multiple Award Categories. Participants need to register separate nominations for each project nominated in each Award Category.
· Each nomination must be supplemented by two A2 sized presentations (landscape or portrait format). Rules to prepare A2 presentations are as under:
1. The presentations must include project name, location, plans, photographs/ drawings of completed projects, and a brief written description of the project and design process in English. There is no limit on the number of images that can be used as long as the entire presentation does not exceed the two pages.
2. Maximum size is 420 x 594mm (approximately 16.5 inches x 23.4 inches);
3. When you register a project in an Award Category, please self-generate a six (6) digit numerical code, which must be written on the bottom right side of each board and on the entry form.
4. The nominations can be in as many categories as wished for. The Nomination form has to be emailed along with the A2 presentations.
· To ensure anonymity in judging, names of entrants or collaborating parties must not appear on any part of the presentation.
· The A2 presentation needs to be emailed to the following address along with the duly completed entry form : daawards@ndtv.com
· Last date for sending-in your nominations is 15th Dec, 2014
All results will be confidentially selected by the Jury. Our knowledge partners for the awards are Khosla Associates. And the tabulation partners for the awards are E&Y.
