Social context : physical planning can be seen as an object-specific subset of “social planning”

The physical outcome land use pattern has been vaguely specified the different interests within society. “social planning” regarding the needs and preferences of society is a reaction to the functional and efficiency orientation of “physical planning” and is intimately concerned with the systematic distribution of resources to counter social inequality.
