“public participation” 9 refers to
involving various groups of stakeholders in a process of participation – individuals or citizens’ initiatives just as much as representatives of lobbies
such as environment organizations,
youth clubs or professional associations that make the concerns of the group they represent known. Lobbyists and common-interest groups are known as “the organized public”. It is not feasible to participate public in large, participation can be possible through cooperative institutions, farmers service societies, Mahila Mandals, Yuva Kendras and common-interest groups.
