In both urban and rural areas today, attacks by aggressive stray dogs have become a growing concern for child safety. Addressing this real-world challenge through technology, Shreyansh Jain’s team, winners of InventX 2026 at IIT Gandhinagar, developed the Wearable Dog Deterrent Device, earning the First Prize for its innovation, practicality, and potential social impact.
आज के शहरी और ग्रामीण परिवेश में आवारा एवं आक्रामक कुत्तों के हमले बच्चों की सुरक्षा के लिए एक गंभीर चिंता का विषय बनते जा रहे हैं। इसी चुनौती का तकनीकी समाधान प्रस्तुत करते हुए InventX 2026 की विजेता श्रेयांश जैन की टीम ने Wearable Dog Deterrent Device विकसित किया, जिसने अपनी उपयोगिता, नवाचार और सामाजिक प्रभाव के कारण प्रथम पुरस्कार प्राप्त किया।
The device is a fully automated, child-friendly wearable safety system specifically designed to protect children from aggressive stray dog attacks.
यह एक पूर्णतः स्वचालित (Fully Automated), बच्चों के अनुकूल (Child-Friendly) पहनने योग्य सुरक्षा उपकरण है, जिसे विशेष रूप से बच्चों को आक्रामक कुत्तों के हमलों से बचाने के उद्देश्य से डिजाइन किया गया है।
One of its key innovations is its Dynamic Frequency Adjustment technology. The device intelligently adjusts the emitted frequency based on the surrounding situation, encouraging aggressive dogs to maintain a safe distance without causing them harm. It also provides 360-degree coverage, ensuring effective protection from threats approaching from any direction.
इस उपकरण की सबसे बड़ी विशेषता इसकी Dynamic Frequency Adjustment तकनीक है। यह आसपास की स्थिति के अनुसार उपयुक्त आवृत्ति (Frequency) उत्पन्न करता है, जिससे आक्रामक कुत्तों को सुरक्षित दूरी बनाए रखने के लिए प्रेरित किया जा सके। साथ ही इसमें 360-डिग्री कवरेज की सुविधा दी गई है, जिससे किसी भी दिशा से आने वाले संभावित खतरे के प्रति प्रभावी सुरक्षा मिलती है।
Designed to be lightweight, comfortable, and easy to wear, the device is suitable for everyday use by children. Its fully automatic operation eliminates the need for manual intervention, making it simple and safe even for young users.
इसका हल्का, सुविधाजनक और बच्चों के लिए सुरक्षित डिज़ाइन इसे प्रतिदिन पहनने योग्य बनाता है। यह उपकरण बिना किसी जटिल संचालन के स्वतः कार्य करता है, जिससे छोटे बच्चे भी इसे आसानी से उपयोग कर सकते हैं।

The Wearable Dog Deterrent Device is much more than a technical prototype. It represents a practical, scalable, and socially impactful innovation aimed at improving child safety. With future patent protection and commercial development, the device has the potential to make a significant contribution to public safety and provide families with greater peace of mind while protecting children from stray dog attacks.
