10.12 Environmental clearance for building construction

10.12. भवन निर्माण में पर्यावरणीय स्वीकृति

10.12.1 For constructions that require environmental clearance (EC) as per the standards issued by the Environmental Department, clearance must be obtained from the relevant department before construction can commence. If the necessity of environmental clearance (EC) is exempted by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change due to fulfilling the conditions of the environment, wildlife and climate change, then in this regard obtain a certificate from an accredited environmental technical expert empanelled in the Environmental Department and present it to the competent authority to confirm that the proposed building plan have provision according to the designated criteria of the Environmental Department.

10.12.1 पर्यावरण विभाग द्वारा जारी मानदण्डों के अनुरूप ऐसे निर्माण जिनके लिए पर्यावरणीय स्वीकृति अनिवार्य है. बाबत संबंधित विभाग से स्वीकृति प्राप्त की जाकर ही निर्माण किया जा सकेगा। पर्यावरण की शर्तों को ध्यान में रखते हुए पर्यावरणीय स्वीकृति की अनिवार्यता की छूट को यदि पर्यावरण, वन्य एवं जलवायु परिवर्तन मंत्रालय द्वारा अनुमोदित एवं अधिसूचित किया गया हो तो इस संबंध में पर्यावरण विर्भाग द्वारा पजीकृत पर्यावरण तकनीकीविज्ञ से प्रमाण पत्र प्राप्त कर, सक्षम अधिकारी को प्रस्तुत करना होगा कि प्रस्तुत भवन मानचित्र में पर्यावरण विभाग के निर्धारित मापदण्डों के अनुसार प्रावधान किया गया है।

Environmental clearance (EC) Threshold limits for Construction projects

All Building /Construction projects/Area Development projects and Townships with threshold limits as given below shall need environmental clearance (EC).

8 Building /Construction projects/Area Development projects and Townships Threshold limits

8(a) Building and Construction projects : ≥20000 sq. mtrs and <1,50,000 sq. mtrs. of built-up area (built up area for covered construction; in the case of facilities open to the sky, it will be the activity area)

8(b) Townships and Area Development projects.: Covering an area ≥ 50 ha and or built up area ≥1,50,000 sq .mtrs ( All projects under Item 8(b) shall be appraised as Category B1)
