जैन श्रावक प्रतिक्रमण – मुनि श्री विराट सागर जी
णमो अरिहंताणं णमो सिद्धाणं णमो आयरियाणं णमो उवज्झायाणं णमो लोए सव्व साहूणं
परम पवित्र पंच परमेष्ठी भगवंतों के श्री चरणों में नमोस्तु, नमोस्तु, नमोस्तु।
हे वीतरागी प्रभु! पाप कर्मों के प्रक्षालन के लिए, आत्मा के शुद्धि के लिए, भावों के शुद्धि के लिए स्वयं का प्रतिक्रमण करता हूँ। सभी जीवों से क्षमा मांगता हूँ, सभी जीवों को क्षमा करता हूँ।
हिंसादि पांच पापों से, सप्त व्यसन से, अष्ट मूलगुण के विपरीत आचरण से पाप कर्मों का संग्रह किया है।
प्रतिक्रमण की इस बेला में पांच पापों में क्रमशः:
हिंसा पाप के वशीभूत होकर चलने-फिरने आदि समस्त शारीरिक क्रियाओं से, वस्त्रों के धोने में, भोजन के बनाने में, घर की सफाई में, वस्तुओं के उठाने-रखने में, दरवाजा-खिड़की आदि खोलने व बंद करने में, अग्नि के जलाने में, जमीन के खोदने में, अनावश्यक पानी के बहाने में, वनस्पति के तोड़ने में, बिजली के उपयोग में, हिंसक उपकरण चलाने व देने में, घर के निर्माण में, व्यापार के संचालन में, वाहन के चलाने आदि क्रियाओं से त्रस व स्थावर जीवों की हिंसा की हो।
झूठ पाप के वशीभूत होकर भगवान के समक्ष, गुरुओं के समक्ष, परिजनों से, सामान्य जनों से झूठ बोला हो, झूठ बोलकर ठगा हो, गवाही दी हो, व्यापार किया हो, झूठा दस्तावेज लिखा हो, स्व-पर की झूठी प्रशंसा की हो।
चोरी पाप के वशीभूत होकर किसी की गिरी हुई, पड़ी हुई, बिना दी हुई, भूली हुई वस्तु को उठाया हो, किसी और को दिया हो, दिलवाया हो, मंदिर जी में डाला हो, मंदिर जी की सामान्य जन की संपत्ति पर कब्जा किया हो, करवाया हो, दान की राशि नहीं चुकाई हो, मंदिर जी की सुविधाओं का कम राशि चुकाकर अधिक उपयोग किया हो, समाज व परिवार में धन की चोरी की हो, व्यापार में कम तोला हो, कम नापा हो, मिलावट की हो, अधिक मुनाफा लिया हो, संपत्ति के बंटवारे में स्व-पर के लिए पक्षपात किया हो, करवाया हो, चोरी का माल खरीदा-बेचा हो, टैक्स की चोरी की हो, करवाई हो।
कुशील पाप के वशीभूत होकर पर-स्त्री/पुरुष की ओर बुरी निगाह से निहारा हो, व्रतादि के दिनों में अब्रह्म का सेवन किया हो, अमर्यादित दृश्य, पिक्चर, साहित्य देखा हो, पढ़ा हो, बातें की हो, कुशील पाप में आनंद मनाया हो।
परिग्रह पाप के वशीभूत होकर आवश्यकता से अधिक चल (रुपया, सोना आदि) संपत्ति का, उपयोग से अधिक अचल (जमीन, मकान आदि) संपत्ति का, क्षमता से अधिक व्यापार का संग्रह किया हो, करवाया हो, आसक्ति का भाव रखा हो।
हे प्रभु! पांच पाप संबंधी किए हुए समस्त पापों को स्वीकार करता हूँ, स्वीकार करता हूँ, स्वीकार करता हूँ। तत्संबंधी पांचों पाप मिथ्या होवें, मिथ्या होवें, मिथ्या होवें। मन से प्रायश्चित करता हूँ, वचन से प्रायश्चित करता हूँ, काय से प्रायश्चित करता हूँ।
आत्मशुद्धि की इस बेला में सप्त व्यसन के सेवन से क्रमशः:
जुआ खेलने के अंतर्गत रुपये-पैसे से शर्त लगाई हो, हाउजी खेली हो, लॉटरी टिकट खरीदा हो, किसी भी प्रकार का सट्टा लगाया हो, शेयर-वायदा बाजार में रुपया लगाया हो।
शराब पीने के अंतर्गत धूम्रपान, पान मसाला, तंबाकू आदि समस्त मादक पदार्थों का सेवन किया हो।
मांस भक्षण के अंतर्गत जाने-अनजाने में मांस का भक्षण किया हो।
शिकार के अंतर्गत जाने-अनजाने में मन-वचन-काय से, कृत-कारित-अनुमोदना से किसी भी जीव को पीड़ा पहुँचाई हो।
चोरी के अंतर्गत जाने-अनजाने में चोरी की हो, करवाई हो, अच्छा कहा हो।
अनैतिक संबंध के अंतर्गत पर-स्त्री/पुरुष के साथ रमण किया हो, अच्छा कहा हो।
व्यभिचार के अंतर्गत वेश्या गमन किया हो, अच्छा कहा हो।
हे प्रभु! सप्त व्यसन संबंधी किए हुए समस्त पापों को स्वीकार करता हूँ, स्वीकार करता हूँ, स्वीकार करता हूँ। तत्संबंधी मेरे सारे पाप मिथ्या होवें, मिथ्या होवें, मिथ्या होवें। मन से प्रायश्चित करता हूँ, वचन से प्रायश्चित करता हूँ, काय से प्रायश्चित करता हूँ।
भाव शुद्धि की इस बेला में अष्ट मूलगुण के विपरीत आचरण से क्रमशः:
शराब त्याग में शराब, चरस आदि का जाने-अनजाने में सेवन किया हो, करवाया हो। मांस त्याग में जाने-अनजाने में मांस का भक्षण किया हो, करवाया हो। मधु त्याग में जाने-अनजाने में शहद का सेवन किया हो, करवाया हो।
रात्रि भोजन त्याग में रात्रि भोजन किया हो, करवाया हो, अच्छा कहा हो, रात्रि में भोजन बनाया हो, बनवाया हो, अच्छा कहा हो, रात्रि का बचा हुआ बासी भोजन किया हो, करवाया हो, अच्छा कहा हो, रात्रि में अन्न आदि पीसा हो, पिसवाया हो, अच्छा कहा हो।
पंच उदुंबर त्याग में जाने-अनजाने में उदुंबर फलों का सेवन किया हो।
जल के छानने में जीवाणी को यथायोग्य स्थान पर पहुँचाने में प्रमाद किया हो, पुराने, पतले, सचिद्र वस्त्र से, रंगीन वस्त्र से जल छाना हो, छनवाया हो, बिना छना जल उपयोग किया हो।
नित्य देव दर्शन में, नित्य जिन दर्शन करने में प्रमाद किया हो, वीतराग मुद्रा की, दिगंबर मुद्रा की अवहेलना की हो, करवाई हो, मंदिर जी में अनावश्यक चर्चा, पर-निंदा की हो, करवाई हो, अच्छा कहा हो, अभिषेक, शांतिधारा व पूजन के समय अपशब्द बोला हो, क्रोध किया हो, जिनवाणी व अन्य उपयोगी वस्तुओं को यथायोग्य स्थान पर नहीं रखा हो, मंदिर जी में चावल आदि अष्टद्रव्य गिराकर गंदगी फैलाई हो, अज्ञानतावश बच्चों के कारण अशांति व देहगत अशुद्धि फैलाई हो, अयोग्य कार्य किया हो, करवाया हो, अच्छा कहा हो।
जीव दया पालन करने में सूक्ष्म, स्थूल जीवों की रक्षा करने में प्रमाद किया हो, सफाई आदि क्रियाओं से त्रस व स्थावर जीवों का घात किया हो, करवाया हो, अच्छा कहा हो।
हे प्रभु! अष्ट मूलगुण संबंधी किए हुए समस्त पापों को स्वीकार करता हूँ, स्वीकार करता हूँ, स्वीकार करता हूँ। तत्संबंधी सारे पाप मिथ्या होवें, मिथ्या होवें, मिथ्या होवें। मन से प्रायश्चित करता हूँ, वचन से प्रायश्चित करता हूँ, काय से प्रायश्चित करता हूँ।
पाप प्रक्षालन की इस बेला में स्वयं के द्वारा किए गए पापों में क्रमशः:
अपने जीवन में गर्भपात यानी साक्षात सैनी पंचेन्द्रिय जीव का घात करवाया हो, इस हिंसक कार्य के लिए सलाह दी हो, सहायता की हो, यह मेरे जीवन का सबसे बड़ा पाप है।
मासिक धर्म के समय में भोजन बनाया हो, बनवाया हो, खिलाया हो, परोसा हो, बाजार में जाकर खरीदारी की हो, सामाजिक कार्यक्रम, भोज एवं शादियों में शामिल हुए हों, इस विषय में शास्त्र के वचन, गुरुओं के उपदेश की अवहेलना की हो।
चार कषाय (क्रोध, मान, माया, लोभ), नौ नोकषाय (हास्य, रति, अरति, शोक, भय, जुगुप्सा, स्त्रीवेद, पुरुषवेद, नपुंसकवेद) के निमित्त से:
- क्रोध के उदय में वर्षों तक स्वजनों एवं परिजनों से बातचीत ना की हो, तीव्र-मंद क्रोध किया हो।
- मान के उदय में गलती होने पर क्षमा नहीं मांगी हो, क्षमा नहीं किया हो, अपने को उच्च, दूसरों को तुच्छ समझा हो।
- माया के उदय में स्वार्थी होकर चेतन-अचेतन वस्तु की प्राप्ति के लिए अपने व परायों को ठगा हो।
- लोभ के उदय में भाग्य व पुरुषार्थ के बिना ही सब कुछ पाने की अभिलाषा की हो, अति महत्वाकांक्षा का भाव रखा हो।
श्रावक के छह आवश्यक (देव पूजा, गुरु उपासना, स्वाध्याय, संयम, तप, दान) का, कुलाचरण, नित्य देव दर्शन, पानी छानकर पीना, रात्रि भोजन त्याग आदि का पालन नहीं किया हो।
सच्चे देव-शास्त्र-गुरु, चतुर्विध संघ, आर्यिका संघ, प्रतिमाधारी व अणुव्रती श्रावक-श्राविका की निंदा की हो, झूठा आक्षेप लगाया हो, दूसरों को बताया हो।
मोबाइल का उपयोग मंदिर जी व धार्मिक सभा में, स्वाध्याय के समय, एकासन व उपवास में, भोजन करते समय, नित्य कर्म के समय, वाहन चलाते समय, श्मशान घाट में उपयोग किया हो, करवाया हो, अच्छा कहा हो। मोबाइल पर हिंसात्मक खेल खेला हो, जुआ खेला हो, दूसरों की निजी जानकारी चुराई हो, उपयोग किया हो, गलत इरादे से सही तथ्यों में छेड़खानी की हो, निषिद्ध वेबसाइट देखी हो, धर्म एवं धार्मिक जनों के विषय में अनावश्यक, असत्य, अनैतिक संदेश फैलाया हो, विद्यार्थी जीवन में माता-पिता से, विवाह के बाद पति-पत्नी ने एक-दूसरे से निजी बातें छिपाई हों, मर्यादाहीन तस्वीरें डाली हों, मुनि-आर्यिका आदि के आहार कक्ष में शुद्धि के वस्त्रों में मोबाइल छिपाया हो, आहार दान आदि के समय उसका उपयोग किया हो। मोबाइल के उपयोग से हिंसादि पांच पाप, सप्त व्यसन, अष्ट मूलगुण के विरुद्ध आचरण भाव एवं क्रिया रूप में किया हो।
हे प्रभु! गर्भपात, मासिक धर्म, कषाय, छह आवश्यक, व्रती निंदा एवं मोबाइल उपयोग संबंधी किए हुए समस्त पापों को स्वीकार करता हूँ, स्वीकार करता हूँ, स्वीकार करता हूँ। तत्संबंधी मेरे सारे पाप मिथ्या होवें, मिथ्या होवें, मिथ्या होवें। मन से प्रायश्चित करता हूँ, वचन से प्रायश्चित करता हूँ, काय से प्रायश्चित करता हूँ।
स्वयं की आलोचना के पश्चात आत्म-कल्याण के लिए शुभ भावनाएं भाता हूँ।
हे वीतरागी प्रभु! सद्बुद्धि की प्राप्ति हो, जिन धर्म की रक्षा, श्रद्धा, प्रभावना का भाव बना रहे, सभी के प्रति प्रेम एवं विनय का भाव बना रहे, अशुभ कर्मों का क्षय हो, शुभ आयु का बंध हो, रत्नत्रय एवं भगवद् गुणों की प्राप्ति हो, आयु के अंत में चेतनापूर्वक समाधि मरण हो, मोक्ष प्राप्ति तक आपके चरण मेरे हृदय में, मेरा हृदय आपके चरणों में लीन रहे।
प्रतिक्रमण उच्चारण संबंधी दोषों की क्षमा याचना—हे प्रभु! मन-वचन-काय की चंचलता से, प्रमाद से कोई गलती हो गई हो, तो हे प्रभु! कृपा कर मुझे क्षमा प्रदान करना।

Namokar Mantra
- Namo Arihantāṇam (I bow to the Arihants / Omniscient Souls)
- Namo Siddhāṇam (I bow to the Siddhas / Liberated Souls)
- Namo Āyariyāṇam (I bow to the Acharyas / Spiritual Leaders)
- Namo Uvajjhāyāṇam (I bow to the Upadhyayas / Teachers)
- Namo Loe Savva Sāhūṇam (I bow to all Monks in the Universe)
At the sacred feet of the Supreme Five Entities (Panch Parmeshti), I bow again and again (Namostu, Namostu, Namostu).
Oh Passionless Lord (Veetrag Prabhu)! For the purification of my past karmas, for the cleansing of my soul, and for the purity of my thoughts, I perform this introspection (Pratikraman). I seek forgiveness from all living beings, and I extend my forgiveness to all living beings.
Through the five main sins, the seven vices (Sapt Vyasan), and actions contrary to the eight fundamental virtues (Asht Mulgun), I have accumulated sinful karmas.
At this moment of introspection, regarding the Five Sins (Paanch Paap):
- Non-violence (Himsa Paap): Governed by the sin of violence, I may have caused harm to two-sensed or higher (Tras) and single-sensed (Sthavar) beings during daily physical activities—walking, washing clothes, cooking food, cleaning the house, moving objects, opening/closing doors and windows, lighting fire, digging earth, wasting water, plucking plants, using electricity, handling harmful instruments, constructing a house, running a business, or driving vehicles.
- Truthfulness (Jhooth Paap): Governed by untruth, I may have spoken lies before God, Gurus, family members, or others; cheated by lying, given false testimony, committed fraud in business, created forged documents, or engaged in false self-praise or flattery.
- Non-stealing (Chori Paap): Governed by theft, I may have taken lost, dropped, forgotten, or unoffered items; passed them to others, taken over temple or public property, failed to pay committed donations, overused temple amenities for less payment, stolen money in family or society, used unfair measurements or adulteration in business, taken excessive profits, cheated in property distribution, bought/sold stolen goods, or committed tax evasion.
- Chastity (Kushil Paap): Governed by unchastity, I may have looked at another man/woman with bad intentions, violated celibacy during vow days, viewed inappropriate media/pictures, read vulgar literature, or indulged in unchaste thoughts and discussions.
- Non-possession (Parigraha Paap): Governed by possessiveness, I may have accumulated movable property (money, gold) beyond need, immovable property (land, house) beyond utility, or expanded business beyond my capacity with feelings of attachment.
Oh Lord! I accept, acknowledge, and confess all sins committed regarding these Five Sins. May all my transgressions become void and fruitlessness (Mithya Hove). I repent through my Mind (Man), Speech (Vachan), and Body (Kaay).
Seven Vices (Sapt Vyasan)
During this moment of soul-purification, regarding the seven vices:
- Gambling: Placing bets with money, playing housie, buying lottery tickets, indulging in betting or stock market speculation.
- Drinking Alcohol: Consuming liquor, smoking, eating pan masala, tobacco, or any intoxicants.
- Eating Meat: Consuming meat intentionally or unintentionally.
- Hunting: Causing pain or harm to any living creature directly, indirectly, or by supporting others through mind, speech, or body.
- Theft: Stealing or supporting theft intentionally or unintentionally.
- Illicit Relationships: Engaging in or approving improper relationships with others.
- Prostitution: Visiting or approving prostitutes.
Oh Lord! I confess all sins related to the Seven Vices. May all my sins become void (Mithya Hove). I repent through my Mind, Speech, and Body.
Eight Fundamental Virtues (Asht Mulgun)
Regarding actions contrary to the Eight Fundamental Virtues:
- Abandoning Alcohol, Meat, and Honey: Consuming or encouraging the use of alcohol, meat, or honey intentionally or unintentionally.
- Abandoning Night Eating (Ratri Bhojan Tyag): Eating, cooking, or serving food at night; eating leftover stale night food; or grinding grains at night.
- Abandoning Five Udambar Fruits: Consuming forbidden fruits containing microscopic life.
- Water Filtration: Showing negligence in filtering water properly with dense, clean cloth or neglecting to safely return water-organisms (Jeevani) to their source.
- Daily Deity Veneration (Dev Darshan): Showing laziness in daily temple visits, disrespecting the passionless Digambar idol, gossiping or criticizing others in the temple, speaking harshly during rituals/abhisheka, keeping scriptures improperly, or spilling worship offerings (Ashtadravya).
- Compassion (Jeev Daya): Negligence in protecting small or microscopic beings during daily household chores or cleaning.
Oh Lord! I confess all sins related to the Eight Fundamental Virtues. May all my sins become void (Mithya Hove). I repent through my Mind, Speech, and Body.
Specific Transgressions & Conduct
In this moment of karmic cleansing, I acknowledge specific grave mistakes:
- Abortion: Performing, advising, or assisting in the termination of a five-sensed life (Garbhpaat), which is among the greatest sins.
- Menstrual Discipline: Violating spiritual guidelines by cooking, serving food, attending social gatherings, or shopping during menstrual periods against scriptural guidance.
- Four Passions (Kashay) & Nine Quasi-Passions:
- Anger (Krodh) Connection: Holding long grudges or refusing to speak with loved ones.
- Pride (Mān) Connection: Refusing to apologize or forgive, considering oneself superior and others inferior.
- Deceit (Māyā) Connection: Cheating others out of selfishness for material gains.
- Greed (Lobh) Connection: Desiring unearned gains without effort or keeping excessive ambitions.
- Neglect of Six Daily Duties (Shat-Aavashyak): Failing in daily worship, serving Gurus, self-study (Swadhyay), self-control (Sanyam), penance (Tap), and charity (Daan).
- Disrespecting Monks & Scriptures: Criticizing or making false allegations against true Gurus, scriptures, monk sanghas, or householders with vows.
- Misuse of Mobile Devices: Using mobile phones in temples, during self-study, fasts, meals, driving, or funeral grounds; playing violent/gambling games; invading privacy; sharing fake news/immoral content; hiding phones in pure monastic kitchen areas; or using technology to violate moral vows.
Oh Lord! I accept and confess all sins related to abortion, menstrual negligence, passions, daily duties, criticism, and technology misuse. May all my sins become void (Mithya Hove). I repent through my Mind, Speech, and Body.
Concluding Prayers & Forgiveness
After self-criticism, I cherish noble aspirations for my soul’s well-being:
Oh Passionless Lord! May I gain right wisdom (Sadbuddhi). May my faith, protection, and promotion of Jainism remain strong. May I hold love and humility toward all beings. May my bad karmas be destroyed, and may I attain right belief, knowledge, and conduct (Ratnatraya). At the end of my life, may I achieve a peaceful, conscious death (Samadhi Maran). Until I reach liberation (Moksha), may your sacred feet remain in my heart, and may my heart remain devoted at your feet.

Oh Lord! If any mistakes occurred due to restlessness or negligence of my mind, speech, or body during this recitation, please grant me forgiveness.
