श्री दिगम्बर जैन मंदिर, आमली, जयपुर
श्री दिगम्बर जैन मंदिर आमली Jaipur के किशनपोल बाजार में नमक की मढ़ी क्षेत्र में स्थित एक प्राचीन दिगम्बर जैन मंदिर है। मंदिर के पास पहले आमली (इमली) का पेड़ होने के कारण ही इसे “आमली का मंदिर” कहा जाने लगा।

मंदिर का इतिहास
मंदिर के निर्माण के संबंध में कोई स्पष्ट और प्रामाणिक जानकारी उपलब्ध नहीं है कि इसका निर्माण कब और किसने कराया।
Baba Dulichand द्वारा तैयार की गई हस्तलिखित मंदिरों की सूची में इसका उल्लेख इस प्रकार मिलता है:
“इमली के दरख्त की छाया नीचे, पण्डा बखतराम ऋषभदास, मुहल्ला कुम्हारों का, सुन्दर का बास, कुएं के पास।”
इस उल्लेख से यह स्पष्ट होता है कि मंदिर का संबंध उस स्थान से है जहाँ कभी इमली का वृक्ष स्थित था। इतना अवश्य माना जाता है कि यह मंदिर विक्रम संवत् 1892 से पहले ही निर्मित हो चुका था।
मूलनायक एवं प्रतिमाएँ
मंदिर में मूलनायक प्रतिमा भगवान पार्श्वनाथ की विराजमान है।
मूल वेदी के अतिरिक्त यहाँ तीन अन्य वेदियाँ भी हैं, जिन पर विभिन्न प्रतिमाएँ स्थापित हैं। मंदिर में कुल मिलाकर:
- 81 प्रतिमाएँ
- 15 यंत्र
विराजमान हैं।
मंदिर की दीवारों पर संगमरमर पर उकेरे गए सुंदर चित्रों में पंचमेरु, संसार वृक्ष, षट्लेश्या और पाण्डुशिला जैसे जैन धर्म के दार्शनिक विषयों को दर्शाया गया है।
शास्त्र भण्डार और धार्मिक गतिविधियाँ
मंदिर में लगभग 20 हस्तलिखित ग्रंथों का संग्रह सुरक्षित है।
यहाँ प्रतिदिन रात्रि में शास्त्र सभा आयोजित की जाती है, जिसमें श्रीमती सौभागदेवीजी काला द्वारा धार्मिक प्रवचन किए जाते हैं। धार्मिक प्रचार-प्रसार के लिए टेप रिकॉर्डिंग की व्यवस्था भी की गई है।
मंदिर का क्षेत्रफल
मंदिर का कुल क्षेत्रफल लगभग 200 वर्ग मीटर है। मंदिर के नीचे एक दुकान भी स्थित है।
परंपरा और प्रबंधन
यह मंदिर बीस पंथ आम्नाय से संबंधित है। मंदिर का प्रबंधन विधानानुसार चुनी हुई प्रबंध समिति द्वारा किया जाता है।
Shri Digambar Jain Temple, Aamli (Imli), Jaipur
Shri Digambar Jain Temple Aamli is located in Namak Ki Madhi area of Kishanpole Bazaar in Jaipur. The temple likely derived its name “Aamli (Imli) Temple” from a tamarind tree (imli) that once stood nearby.
History of the Temple
There is no authentic record available regarding when and by whom this temple was constructed. However, in the handwritten list of temples prepared by Baba Dulichand, it is mentioned as:
“Under the shade of the tamarind tree, Panda Bakhtaram Rishabh Das, in the potters’ locality near Sundar Ka Bas well.”
This description indicates the temple’s association with the place where the tamarind tree once existed. It is known, however, that the temple had already been constructed before Vikram Samvat 1892.
Main Deity and Idols
The Mulnayak (principal deity) of the temple is Lord Parshvanath.
In addition to the main altar, there are three more altars where idols are installed. Altogether the temple houses:
- 81 idols
- 15 sacred yantras
On the marble walls of the temple, artistic representations depict Jain philosophical concepts such as:
- Panch Meru
- The Tree of Worldly Existence (Sansar Vriksha)
- Shatlesya (six states of soul)
- Pandushila
Manuscripts and Religious Activities
The temple preserves about 20 handwritten manuscripts.
A nightly scripture assembly (Shastra Sabha) is held here, where Shrimati Saubhagyadevi Kala delivers religious discourses. For religious outreach and teaching, tape-recorded sermons are also played.
Temple Area
The temple occupies an area of approximately 200 square meters, and there is one shop located beneath the temple building.
Tradition and Management
The temple belongs to the Bees Panth Amnay tradition. Its management is handled by a duly elected management committee.
