House-listings refer to the enumeration of all households in a given area, including information on the number of persons living in each household, their age, sex, and relationship to the head of the household, as well as other demographic and socio-economic characteristics.

House-listings are conducted prior to the actual population enumeration, and are used to create a comprehensive list of all households in the area, which serves as the sampling frame for the population enumeration.
