भांवसा, भौसा, बडजात्या, गोदीका एव मालावत गोत्र

खण्डेलवाल जैनो मे भांवसा गोत्र अपनी जनसख्या, मामाजिक एव माहित्यिक सेवा के लिये पर्याप्त प्रसिद्धि प्राप्त गोत्र है। मावसा गोत्र के दूसरे नाम भौसा, बडजात्या, गोदीका एव मालावत है, जो स्थानीय कारणो से उस नाम के घारी बन गये है।

The Bhavansa gotra holds a significant place among Khandelwal Jains due to its population, social contributions, and historical service. This gotra is also known by other names such as Bhausa, Barjatya, Godika, and Malawat, which emerged due to regional influences.

इस गोत्र के प्रथम श्रावक भावसिह जी भावसे ग्राम के जागीरदार थे । जिन्होंने संवत् 103 में आचार्य जिनसेन में श्रावक व्रत ग्रहण किये थे। इनका सोमवंश था तथा चौहान कुल था। चक्रेश्वरी देवी इनकी कुल देवी मानी जाती है।

The first recorded Shravak (lay Jain follower) of this lineage was Bhav Singh Ji, who was the jagirdar (landowner) of Bhavse village. In Samvat 103, he took Shravak Vrat under Acharya Jinsen Ji. His lineage belonged to the Somvansh (lunar dynasty) and Chauhan clan, with Chakreshwari Devi as the Kuldevi (family deity).

भांवसा गोत्र होने के कारण जब इनको बोलचाल मे भैसा कहा जाने लगा तो इन्होने इसका प्रतिवाद किया और कहा कि वे राज परिवार के है। इसलिये उनकी जाति भी बड़ी है। इसके पश्वान् भावसा गोत्र को बडजात्या भी कहा जाने लगा ।

Due to the pronunciation of their gotra as Bhavsa, some people started referring to them as Bhaisa (which means buffalo in Hindi). The family opposed this and asserted their royal ancestry, emphasizing their higher status. Consequently, the gotra later became known as Barjatya (meaning “of a noble lineage”).

धार्मिक योगदान

संवत् 1052 मे लाडनू मे सोनपाल जी सौठल जी बडजात्या ने पंच कल्याणक प्रतिष्ठा सम्पन्न करायी थी ।

सवत् 1444 मे धर्मचन्द भांवसा चाकसू वालो की बहू चादवाडी की बेटी थी । इसने अपने लड़के का लालन पालन शहर मे आकर किय। इसलिये उनको गोदीका कहा जाने लगा। इसी तरह सवत् 1658 मे संघई माला जी मावसा बड़े पराक्रमी श्रावक हुए थे इसलिये उनके वश को मालावत कहा जाने लगा । जयपुर में मालावतो के बहुत से परिवार है। जयपुर मे बगडा भी मांवसा गोत्रीय है जबकि अन्यत्र कासलीवाल, लुहाडिया को बगडा कहा जाता है।

Religious Contributions

• Samvat 1052: Sonpal Ji Sauthal Ji Barjatya conducted a grand Panch Kalyanak Pratishtha in Ladnun.
• Samvat 1444: Dharmchand Bhavansa of Chakshu married into a Chadawadi family and raised his son in the city, leading to the title Godika.
• Samvat 1658: Sanghi Mala Ji Mawsa was a highly influential Shravak (Jain devotee), and his descendants were called Malawat. Many Malawat families still reside in Jaipur.
• Bagda Families: In Jaipur, many Mawsa gotriya people are known as Bagda, although in other regions, Kasliwal and Luhadiya families are called Bagda.

प्रभावशाली विद्वान एवं नेता

तेरहपंथ के संस्थापक सांगानेर निवासी अमरा भौंसा उन्ही के पुत्र जोधराज भौंसा न लिखकर गोदीका लिखते थे। कहलाते थे। जबकि जोधराज बड़े भारी पंडित एवं कवि थे। इन्होने संवत् 1724 में सम्यकत्व कौमुदी की रचना समाप्त की थी । महापंडित टोडरमल जी (1780-1925) गोदीका गोत्रीय श्रावक थे। इनके पुत्र गुमानीराम जी भी अच्छे वक्ता, विद्वान एवं गुमानपंथ के सस्थापक थे ।

Influential Scholars & Leaders

• Amra Bhavansa from Sanganer founded the Terapanth sect. His son Jodharaj Bhavansa preferred to be called Godika instead of Bhavansa. Jodharaj was a great scholar and poet who authored Samyaktva Kaumudi in Samvat 1724.
• Mahapandit Todarmal Ji (Samvat 1780-1925) belonged to the Godika gotra. His son, Gumaniram Ji, was an eloquent speaker, scholar, and founder of the Gumanpanth sect.

पांडुलिपि योगदान

राजस्थान के शास्त्र भण्डारों में सैकड़ों ऐसी पाण्डुलिपियां मिलेंगी जो भांवसा / गोदीका अथवा बडजात्या गोत्रीय श्रावकों ने प्रतिलिपि करवा कर भट्टारको अथवा साधु साध्वियो को पठनार्थ भेंट की थी ।

सवत् 1542 में हिसार में भौसा गोत्रीय संघपति रुल्हा एवं उनकी पत्नी जही बहुत बडे ख्याति प्राप्त श्रावक थे। उनके पुत्र शान्तिराम नेमिदास ने प मेधावी के धर्म संग्रह श्रावकाचार की प्रति करवाकर शास्त्र भण्डार में विराजमान की थी।

नागौर (नागपुर) में साहे सोनू एवं उनका परिवार धार्मिक वृत्ति वाले थे। इन्ही के वंशज सा. भीवा एवं उनकी पत्नी भीवसादे ने सुकुमाल चरित्र की पाण्डुलिपि तैयार करवायी थी तथा संवत् 1756 में नागोर मे जीवराज भौसा अपनी समाज के प्रभावशाली श्रावक थे ।

Manuscript Contributions

The Rajasthan Jain Shastra Bhandars (Scripture Repositories) house hundreds of Jain manuscripts copied and donated by Bhavansa/ Godika/ Barjatya Shravaks for monks and scholars.

• Samvat 606: Veerchand Bhavansa organized a grand Panch Kalyanak Pratishtha in Bhavse village.
• Samvat 1352: Thela Ji Surjan Bhavansa conducted another major Panch Kalyanak Pratishtha in Ladnun.
• Samvat 1542: Rulha and his wife Jahi from Hisar were prominent Shravaks. Their son Shantiram Nemidas copied and donated Shravakachar (a Jain religious text) to a Jain manuscript library.
• Samvat 1756: Jeewraj Bhavansa from Nagaur (Nagpur) was a well-respected Jain leader. His ancestors, Sahe Sonu and his family, were known for their religious devotion. Their descendants, Sa. Bheewa and his wife Bheewasade, commissioned a manuscript of Sukumal Charitra.

मंदिर निर्माण एवं प्रभाव

प्रतिष्ठित पाठ के अनुसार संवत् 606 में वीरचन्द भौंसा ने भांवसे ग्राम में तथा संवत् 1352 में लाडनू में थेला जी सुरजन भौसा ने विशाल पंच कल्याण प्रतिष्ठा करवायी थी ।

संवत् 1658 मे डालू मालू ने दूदू, अराई, जोरु, कलवाड एवं साखूण में विशाल मन्दिरो का निर्माण करवाकर पंच कल्याणक प्रतिष्ठा सम्पन्न करवायी थी । इसके बाद वे संघी कहलाने लगे ।

जयपुर में संघी झूथाराम एव उनके पूर्वज भौसा गोत्रीय श्रावक थे। संघी झूथाराम अपने समय के अत्यधिक प्रभावशाली दीवान थे।

Temple Construction & Influence

• Samvat 1658: Dalu Malu built grand Jain temples in Dudu, Arai, Joru, Kalwad, and Sakhoon, organizing large-scale Panch Kalyanak Pratishthas. He and his family were later honored with the title Sanghi.
• Sanghi Jutharam, a Jain minister from Jaipur, belonged to the Bhavansa gotra and was a highly influential Diwan (chief minister).
