बिहार, बगाल जैसे प्रदेशों में खण्डेलवाल दिगंबर जैन (सरावगी) समाज महाराजा मानसिह के अमात्य नानू गोधा के साथ गया। महाराजा मानसिंह बंगाल के वर्षों तक गवर्नर रहे और इनके प्रधान अमात्य नानू गोघा ने अपने बहुत से साधर्मी बन्धुओं को अपने साथ बंगाल तक ले गये । नानू गोधा अकेले बंगाल में 80 जिन मन्दिर बनवाये थे इसलिए उन नगरो में जैन परिवार होना आवश्यक है। जब रायचन्द छाबडा जो जयपुर राज्य के मन्त्री थे, शिखर जी की यात्रा गये तब उनको गया में अपने साधर्मी एवं सजातीय बन्धुओ से मिलने का अवसर मिला था। इससे यह स्पष्ट है कि ये दिगम्बर जैन परिवार वहाँ पहिले से ही रहते थे ।

Bihar and Bengal:

• The community migrated to Bihar and Bengal during the rule of Maharaja Man Singh, who served as the governor of Bengal for many years.
• Nanu Godha, a prominent minister of Maharaja Man Singh, played a pivotal role in bringing many fellow Jains to Bengal.
• Nanu Godha is credited with constructing 80 Jain temples in Bengal, which underscores the community’s active involvement in religious and cultural preservation.
• Historical records, including those from Rai Chand Chhabda, a minister in the Jaipur state, reveal that Jain families were already settled in Gaya and other parts of Bihar when he visited during his pilgrimage to Shikharji.

आसाम एवं नागालैण्ड में मारवाड से सरावगी समाज 115-120 वर्ष पहिले व्यवसाय के निमित्त गया और धीरे-धीरे वे वहाँ के वातावरण में इतने घुल गये जैसे वे वहाँ के निवासी हों ।

Assam and Nagaland:

• In regions like Assam and Nagaland, the community began settling approximately 115–120 years ago, primarily for trade and commerce.
• Over time, they became integral to the local economy and blended seamlessly into the social fabric of these northeastern regions, maintaining their traditions while adapting to new environments.

Key Contributions:

• The Khandelwal Jains brought with them their industrious nature and religious devotion.
• They established Jain temples, promoted trade and cultural activities, and contributed to the economic and spiritual growth of the areas they settled in.

Legacy:

The community’s migration to the eastern regions of India illustrates their resilience, far-reaching influence, and commitment to spreading Jainism and its values. Today, the Khandelwal Jains in these areas are well-integrated yet continue to uphold their cultural heritage.
