2 Definitions:
2. परिभाषाएँ (Definitions) :
Unless the subject or context otherwise requires in these regulations:
इन विनियमों में जब तक विषय अथवा सदर्भ द्वारा अन्यथा अपेक्षित नहीं हो:-
2.1 Act means the Jaipur Development Authority Act, 1982, Rajasthan Municipalities Act, 1959, Rajasthan Municipalities Act, 2009, Rajasthan Housing Board Act, 1970, as amended from time to time.
2.1 अधिनियम (Act) से जयपुर विकास प्राधिकरण अधिनियम 1982, राजस्थान नगर सुधार अधिनियम, 1959, राजस्थान नगर पालिका अधिनियम, 2009 राजस्थान आवासन मण्डल अधिनियम, 1970, अभिप्रेत है।
2.2 Competent Authority- Authorized officer of the Gram Panchayat in the inhabited area of the Gram Panchayat, authorized officer of the concerned Municipality/Municipal Corporation in the area of the Municipality/Municipal Corporation, authorized officer of the relevant Development Authority in the areas of the Development Authorities, authorized officer of the concerned Development Authority in the Jaipur Development Authority, authorized officer of RIICO and Housing Board in the planning areas of RIICO and Housing Board or the officer designated by the state government for any specific area or registered technical expert as per regulations 19 and 20, is competent authority for construction.

2.2 सक्षम संस्था (Competent Authority) से निर्माण अनुजा हेतु ग्राम पंचायत की आबादी क्षेत्र में ग्राम पंचायत का प्राधिकृत अधिकारी, नगर पालिका/नगर निगम के क्षेत्र में संबंधित नगर पालिका/नगर निगम द्वारा प्राधिकृत अधिकारी, नगर विकास न्यासों में संबंधित न्यास का प्राधिकृत अधिकारी, जयपुर विकास प्राधिकरण में संबधित विकास प्राधिकरणों के प्राधिकृत अधिकारी, रीको एवं आवासन मण्डल के योजना क्षेत्रों मे रीको एवं आवासन मण्डल के प्राधिकृत अधिकारी या अन्य किसी विशिष्ट क्षेत्र हेतु राज्य सरकार द्वारा विनिर्दिष्ट अधिकारी अथवा विनियम संख्या 19 एवं 20 के अनुसार पंजीकृत तकनीकीविज्ञ, अभिप्रेत है।

2.3 Urban Area– The notified urban area under section 3(1) of the Rajasthan Urban Improvement Act by the State Government, including notified areas under the Jaipur Development Authorities and notified Municipal areas under the Rajasthan Municipalities Act, 2009.

2.3 नगरीय क्षेत्र (Urban Area) से राजस्थान नगर सुधार अधिनियम की धारा 3(1) के अंतर्गत राज्य सरकार द्वारा अधिसूचित नगरीय क्षेत्र जयपुर विकास प्राधिकरणों के अंतर्गत आने वाला अधिसूचित क्षेत्र तथा राजस्थान नगर पालिका अधिनियम, 2009 के तहत अधिसूचित नगर पालिका क्षेत्र, अभिप्रेत है।
2.4 Fire Officer- Authorized Fire Officer designated by the Jaipur Municipal Corporation is the competent authority for fire safety.
2.4 अग्निशमन अधिकारी (Fire Officer) से जयपुर नगर निगम द्वारा प्राधिकृत अग्निशमन अधिकारी अभिप्रेत है।
2.5 Annexure containing the attached schedule with these regulations is applicable.
2.5 अनुसूची (Annexure) से इन विनियमों के साथ सलग्न अनुसूची, अभिप्रेत है।
2.6 Ground coverage means the area covered by the building on the ground, which includes the area of the floor below the chair, and if the building is proposed to be built on stilts or podium, then the ground coverage is area of the floor covered by the building just above the stilt or podium.
2.6. भू-आच्छादन (Ground Coverage) से भूमि का आच्छादित क्षेत्र जो कुर्सी तल के एवं यदि भवन स्टिल्ट अथवा पोडियम पर निर्मित प्रस्तावित है तो ठीक उसके ऊपर भवन द्वारा आच्छादित तल क्षेत्र, अभिप्रेत है।
2.7 Industrial Building‘ means any building or part of a structure of a building (proposed / constructed building according to the nature of buildings mentioned at S. No. 4 of Schedule-1) in which any kind of material is made, assembled or processed as it is intended.
2.7 ‘औदयोगिक भवन (Industrial Building) से कोई भवन या किसी भवन की संरचना का भाग (अनुसूची-1 के क्र. सं. 4 पर उल्लेखित भवनों की प्रकृति के अनुसार प्रस्तावित /निर्मित भवन) जिसमें किसी भी प्रकार की सामग्री बनाई संयोजित या प्रसंस्कृत की जाती हो, अभिप्रेत है।
